Gong for Echo Meetings (For Echo)

Connect Gong to Hook to use as a data source for Echo

Updated this week

The following integration must be set up in Hook to use Gong as a meetings data source for Echo.

  1. Ensure you have the following information available from Gong. You must be a Technical admin in Gong to find this information in Gong settings:

    Gong Access Key

    • What it is: This is like your account’s “username” for API access.

    • Where to find it: In Gong, go to Admin Settings → Ecosystem → API → Get API Key. You’ll see a Key generated — this is your Access Key.

    Gong Access Key Secret

    • What it is: This is like your account’s “password” for API access.

    • Where to find it: When you create the API Key in Gong (step above), you’ll also see a Secret.

Important: You will only see this once when the key is created—save it somewhere safe.

Find out more about accessing Gong's API here.

2. Go to https://app.hook.co/configuration/integrations/gong-v2 to connect to Gong for Echo. You must be a Technical Admin or Manager in Hook to access these settings.

3. Enter the values for Gong Access Key, Gong Access Key Secret from Step 1. Enter a value for Gong Connector Start Date. This must be a timestamp in ISO 8601 format. Hook recommends setting this to 6 months prior to the current date. Note that any meetings in the Feed will appear from this date onwards.

4. Click Submit credentials.

5. Once complete please inform the Hook team. You will be redirected to a similar screen once the connection has been established.
