Radar: Surface Risk and Expansion Opportunities from Across the Web

Introduction to Hook's AI agent that detects churn risk and expansion potential using information indexed by Google.

What is Radar?

Radar is Hook's AI agent for external signal detection. It continuously monitors everything Google indexes (industry news, press releases, company announcements) across every account in your portfolio.

When a relevant event happens, Radar surfaces it as a churn risk or upsell opportunity and creates plaibook actions for your CSMs to work on. The goal is simple: your team hears about events that matter to their accounts as soon as they happen, not weeks later at a QBR.

Events Radar Monitors

The list below is an example of events that radar can monitor using information available on the internet:

  • Regional expansions

  • Funding rounds

  • M&A activity

  • Workforce fluctuations

  • Leadership changes

  • Competitor moves

  • New product launches

  • Security incidents

  • Regulatory changes

  • Anything else likely to impact renewal or expansion

One Hook customer using Radar spotted an account announcing a regional expansion. Their CSM reached out the same day, framing the product's multi-region support before procurement had even started. They closed the deal - the conversation happened at the right moment, not months later when a competitor would have already worked their way in.

Radar means signals stop slipping through the cracks, your team gets hours of customer discovery back, and every conversation happens at exactly the right moment.
